Fall Fun Runs

Predict-your-time race: This is a weekly (and free!) fun run held on Thursday evenings in September and October each year.  For 2018, the dates will be September 6 through October 25.

These fun runs are held at Rahilly Park, 3400 Parsons Avenue, Merced, CA.

Arrive at around 5:30 p.m. for free registration.  Choose 1-mile, 2-miles, or 3-miles, and record your name and your predicted time on the sign-up sheet.  All races start together, and cross the same finish line at Rahilly Park.  There is ample parking and water fountains and restrooms are available.

Award ribbons are given, not to the fastest runners, but to those who finish closest to their predicted times for each race. You could run a 10:00 minute mile and take 1st place!

Thursday night Fun Runs

Fun runs throughout the year: After the last Fall fun run in late October, we switch our Thursday fun runs to the corner of Tuscany Ave. and Reggio Ct. in Merced, CA at 5:30 p.m.  This continues through August of the next year.  First we do a 1-2 mile warm-up jog together, and then a 3-mile tempo run.  Bring water!  No bathrooms are available.  During hot weather we run along Bear Creek in the shade.
